Saturday 12th September 2026
12pm to 7pm
Venue: Brighthelm centre, Brighton

Workers Planet is bringing together trade unionism, climate justice, and solidarity in an unmissable event in Brighton, just before the start of the Trade Union Congress. With the far right growing across the country and the cost of living crisis seeing no end, young workers face rising rents, insecure jobs, and an accelerating climate crisis. The fight for justice must be collective. This event is about connecting those struggles and ensuring trade unionism leads the way on climate action while meeting people where they are at.
This year’s event will aim to learn from good practices of workplace climate action and organising against the far right, while understanding our struggles within the bigger picture and the world we live in. As repression of social movements is increasing and a sense of doom can sometimes take over, how do we organise for resilience at work and in our communities?
Come along to hear from inspiring activists and trade unionists on topics including global climate justice, heat strike, housing justice, AI, and fighting the far right. And this isn’t just about hearing from speakers – it’s a chance to bring your own ideas and insights to help build a resilient community of people who can support each other in the fight of our lives. So if there’s something you want to say or a discussion you want to start, join us. This is your planet, and your event!
The event will be free this year but we ask you to make a small donation on our crowdfunder page if you are able to help us meet the cost of organising the event.
